A holistic view of your search terms

Supported with performance and market data, view and manage your search terms across related markets, Workspaces and Search Term Groups.


How to use Search Term Manager

Add search terms

To add search terms to a workspace via Search Term Manager, click the blue 'Add search terms' button:

In the pop-up, enter the search terms, select the workspace, and select or add the search term group(s).

A maximum of 10,000 unique search terms can be added to a workspace.

Click, 'Confirm':

A message will confirm the search terms have been added to the workspace:


Site

Selecting a site to analyse is optional, but it provides URL, SERP feature, and position data for each search term.

To analyse a site, select one of your account's sites from the drop-down in the form at the top of the tool:

Click 'Explore'.


Table

The table displays the following information:

  • Market

  • Search term

  • Search volume

  • Search engine

  • Workspace

  • Groups

  • URL

  • Position

Use the tick-boxes down the left-hand side to select single or multiple search terms and the 'Apply selection to' function to perform the following actions:

  • Add to new workspace

  • Add to existing workspace

  • Add to Search Term Group

  • Remove from account

Note: If adding to an existing workspace, you will be prompted to select a workspace.

Search for search terms relating to specific data in the table:

Use the columns option to edit what data is displayed in the table:


Tracking history

You can view the tracking history of search terms within your account by selecting the tracking history button at the top of Search Term Manager:

The tracking history will show you the historical data of all search terms that have been added and removed from your account. The table shows you the search term, search engine, the action (added or removed), the user who actioned this, the time this was actioned and the effective date.

You can use the filters to drill down into specifics, choose what columns are shown in the table and download this data as a CSV.

You can export the content of the table as a CSV:


Actions

Click the icon in the Actions column to explore the search term in Competitor Discovery.
