Search Terms are the basic building blocks of Pi’s data. It is the search terms in your account that are tracked in search engines that provide the position data which drives our tools.
Having your search terms organised in Search Term Groups (STGs) ensures your data is well-organised and easier to analyse. Here’s how to add your terms to your workspaces.
A maximum of 10,000 search terms can be added to a single workspace.
How to add Search Terms
To add Search Terms to the workspace if they weren’t added in the workspace setup wizard, or if new search terms need to be added at a later date, click the '+ Add search terms' button at the top of the workspace list:
In the pop-up:
Type/paste terms to add into the box
Type to search and select which STG(s) to add the terms to. (Note: not ticking any groups will add the terms to the workspace ungrouped)
Note: You can add up to 10,000 search terms to a workspace.
Click ‘Confirm’:
When the terms have been added, a message will be displayed at the top of the workspace list:
Alternatively, select 'Add Terms' from the actions column of the desired workspace in the workspace list:
Data for the search terms will be available depending on the tracking frequency of the workspace. Find out when you'll see your data here.
We'll also start collecting market data within 48 hours once the terms have been added.
How to remove search terms
To remove search terms from a workspace, choose Search Term Manager from the actions options for the desired workspace:
Here, the Search Term Manager will be filtered to show that workspace's search terms. More filters can be applied to filter by search term group, for example.
To remove search terms, use the tick boxes to select search terms, then choose to remove them from either the workspace or the account from the 'Apply selection to' drop-down:
Bulk removing search terms: to bulk remove search terms from a workspace or multiple workspaces, please send a CSV containing the search terms and their workspace(s) to support@pi-datametrics.com.
