This component targets a specific set of Search Terms in a Workspace by highlighting the position movement for any terms within a specified Search Term Group (STGs).

If a particular subset of terms in a workspace is of specific importance, utilising STGs and this component will alert you to any terms that have moved up or down in position - and it’ll do just that. If any terms have changed position, you’ll see this as an Alert when subscribed to the report. This is triggered by a threshold set by you.

The component only focuses on one group, so if you have multiple groups of interest, the component can be added as many times as needed for each relevant group.

Setup

To add the component to a report from the setup wizard:

  • Select the Workspace

  • Choose a Site

  • Select the relevant search term group

  • Select the required Search Engine

  • Include SERP features - if SERP features are included, it will automatically select all. Click the dropdown arrow to customise which SERP features to analyse

  • Set the trigger for position movement

  • Add Notes if applicable

  • Click Submit to add the component to the report

Outputs

The table shows all terms that have moved in a positive or negative direction, providing their search volume and positions in the previous report period and the current report period

Below this is a key providing information on position movement, search engine position, close variant volume, search volume status, and SERP feature if selected:

If selected, the table will also include what SERP feature the term was positioning for:

Next Step Actions

Next to each search term is a table icon - click this to view the term in Position Explorer Table:
