Setting up an Alert

The Alerts section of Pi Datametrics allows you to keep track of performance from your email inbox. The Alerts provide insight into gains or falls over a certain dataset.

There are two types of alert:

The Alerts can be set to a daily, weekly, or monthly frequency.

Alerts provide frequent updates straight to your inbox providing you with insights that you may not notice through exploring your data manually, bringing to your attention any significant changes that may need immediate action.

To be able to create Alerts you must have:

  • Access to a Pi Datametrics account

  • Access to the desired Workspace


Setup

In the Alerts area click the blue, 'Create new Alert' button:

Choose which workspace you’d like the alert to come from and which type of alert:

Search Term Position Change

Choose which events will trigger an alert:

  • Workspace

  • Event - moves in or out of the top 5, moves in or out of the top 10, Custom - moves in position but a number of positions as set by you

  • Click ‘Next’

Select the alert frequency:

  • Choose from daily, weekly, or monthly

  • Click ‘Finish’

Visibility Index Change

  • Select Visibility Index

  • Select value change - when the selected index increases or decreases more than the specified amount

  • Click ‘Next’

Select the alert frequency:

  • Choose from daily, weekly, or monthly

  • Click ‘Finish’

Your alerts appear as a list in the alerts section:

  • ‘Create new Alert’ - click to create new alerts

  • Actions - delete an alert
