Overview

A Visibility Index is a collection of Sites compared on the same searches (Search Term Groups + Search Engines). This produces overall visibility scores, which reflect the average visibility of those Sites on all the searches.

The Visibility Index also shows the Site with the highest gains, and the biggest falls, along with the Site with the most volatility.

There are two types of Visibility Indexes:

  • Comparison Index – This compares multiple sites over specified Search Term Groups. This shows how a market is performing, without having a sense of self in the Index.

  • Performance Index – This shows how a My Site performs against a set of Competitor URLs. The Index contains everything a Comparison Index has, along with performance over time of the User’s URL vs the Competitors.

Where to find Visibility Indexes

Visibility Indexes are found in the performance drop-down of the navigation. Here you can view all Visibility Indexes in the account or create a new index yourself.
