Making changes to an existing Visibility Index

Overview

To edit a Visibility Index, click the more icon in the Actions column of the Visibility Index page and choose 'Edit Visibility Index' icon at the top of the Index:

Index Details

Here you can change the index name, description, and primary ranking mode:

Sites

Edit which competitor sites are included in the index.

Note: My sites in Performance Indexes cannot be changed after the Index is created.

Click the 'Edit' icon:

Use the tick boxes to select or de-select sites to include in the index. Click 'Add Sites' to include a new site not included in the list:

Adding sites will add them to your account's site list. Here you can add the base URL and an optional label. There are also options for Bulk Site Entry to add multiple sites at once or import sites from other workspaces:

Once complete, click, 'Next':

Once sites have been added, you are automatically returned to the edit sites page for the index. Select the new site(s) using the tick boxes and click 'Submit' at the bottom of the page:

Search Data

Here you can change which search data is used in the index. Click 'Edit':

Use the tick boxes to select or de-select which Search Term Groups and Search Engines to be included in the index. Click, 'Save criteria':

Delete Index

To remove an index from your account entirely, click the 'Delete Index' button:

You will be prompted to be sure you wish to delete the index. Deleting an index can not be undone:
