How does a Performance Index work?

A Visibility Index is a collection of Sites compared on the same searches (Search Term Groups + Search Engines). This produces overall visibility scores, which reflect the average visibility of those Sites on all the searches. The Visibility Index also shows the Site with the highest gains, and the biggest falls, along with the Site with the most volatility

Performance Index shows how a My Site performs against a set of Competitor sites. The Index contains everything a Comparison Index has, along with the performance over time of the User’s URL vs the Competitors.

Key Features

From the Visibility Index list page, click the '+' icon to reveal a mini overview for the performance index:

Index scores

The first thing you will see in your Performance Index is the performance of your site and an amalgamation of competitor sites over the index period. Both are given a score out of 100.
