Search Terms are the basic building blocks of Pi’s data. It is the search terms in your account that are tracked in search engines that provide the position data which drives our tools.

A maximum of 4000 search terms can be added to a single workspace.

Benefits

Having your search terms organised in Search Term Groups (STGs) ensures your data is well organised and easier to analyse. Here’s how to add your terms to your workspaces.

Ingredients

  • Access to a Pi Datametrics account

  • Access to required Workspaces

  • Workspace editing privileges

How to add Search Terms

To add Search Terms to the workspace if they weren’t added in the workspace setup wizard, click the search terms tab in the workspace, then click ‘Add Search Terms’:

If the workspace already contains search terms, click the grid button at the top of the panel:

Click ‘Add Terms’:

On the next page:

  • Type/paste terms to add into the box

  • Type to search and select which STG(s) to add the terms to. (Note: not ticking any groups will add the terms to the workspace ungrouped)

Click ‘Add to workspace’:

If new search term groups are required, type in its name then click on '(New label)' to add the STG to the workspace with the terms you're adding, then click 'Add to workspace':

When the terms have been added, they will be displayed in the search term list:

Data for the search terms will be available depending on the tracking frequency of the workspace. Find out when you'll see your data here.

We'll also start collecting market data within 48 hours once the terms have been added.

How to remove search terms

To remove search terms from a workspace:

  • Click the check box for the term(s) you wish to remove

  • Use the name and date search bars to help find specific terms

  • The number indicator at the top will tell you how many are selected

  • There is also a 'check all' function to select all the terms in the workspace

  • Hover over the 'Apply selection to' arrow, select 'Delete' to remove the search terms
