Content Diagnostics is a tool used to give an overview of how a certain page is optimised for a given search term. You will be given a final score on your optimisation and view areas of strength and weakness. Other pages from SERPs can also be brought in to provide a comparison of results.
Content Diagnostics is a live analysis tool you can use to measure and compare multiple URLs and score on-page and off-page quality based on a collection of metrics including:
On-Page optimisation: H1, Title, URL, Meta Description and Content.
Domain age, and Server Location.
Backlinks and referring domains.
Combining the top 100 from Position Explorer Chart with Content Diagnostics allows you to quickly understand why particular pages might be performing above your own. Providing immediate actions.
Content Diagnostics can be found in the 'content' drop-down of the navigation:
Analyse URLs
To analyse specific a Search Term to a specific URL
Add a Search Term into the Page Theme bar
Add your URL of choice
Click Analyse
You can also add multiple URL to compare by clicking 'Add another URL' and Add top URLs from a Search Engine for comparison

Click “Add top URLs from search”
Type a Search Term
Select an available Search Engine
Click “Load Results”
Click "Load Results" to show top URLs
Select up to 10 top returning URLs
Click "Add URLs"
Content Diagnostics Results
The data loads and lists in order of the URLs and the relevant results for each URL. The application makes a live query to gather the results so the more URLs added the more time will be required.
The URL queried – This is an exact match URL
On-page. This is a summary of the theme relative to the Page Theme added in the previous section. Can be explored further in the Intelligent Copy tool by clicking the icon
Off-page – Domain age and server location
Exact match and Root domain URL backlink data. Can be explored further in the Backlink Analysis tool by clicking the icon and highlighted areas
