What is AI Site Monitoring?

AI Site Monitoring provides visibility into which sites and URLs are referenced within LLM-generated search results. Extracting and analysing citations at scale shows how often your own and competitors’ domains are referenced as supporting sources. This insight enables users to benchmark site presence, track citation trends, and refine strategies to strengthen visibility and influence in emerging LLM search formats—closing a critical blind spot in modern search intelligence.


How to use AI Site Monitoring

Select the Workspace, LLM, and optional groups from the setup panel:

Domain citations over time

The main chart and table show domain citations for all sites across 1 month:

Chart

Hover over a datapoint on any of the chart lines to see the number of citations for that site on a single date:

Table

Below the chart, the same data is tabulated, displaying the:

  • Domain

  • Queries

    • End - number of queries

    • Movement - number of queries, more or less, than the start date

  • Citations

    • End - number of citations

    • Movement - number of citations, more or less, than the start date

Hover over the values in the end columns to reveal the queries or citations, respectively:

Filters & Columns

Use the filters and columns to adjust the displayed data in the table.

Filters:

  • URL

  • Number of queries

  • Query movement

  • Number of citations

  • Citation movement

  • Previous queries

  • Current queries

  • Previous brands

  • Current brands

  • Number of brands

  • Brand movement

Columns:

  • Queries

    • Start

    • End

    • Movement

  • Brands mentioned

    • Start

    • End

    • Movement

    • No. of brands

  • Actions

The table's data can be exported in a CSV download.

Click the 3 dots in the actions column to view the single domain's performance or its queries in AI Prompt Explorer:


Single domain

To drill down to a single domain's performance, select a domain from the domain drop-down above the chart:

Two charts are displayed - domain citations for the single site and the top cited directories for that site:

Domain citations displays 2 lines for the number of citations:

  • The purple line is the number of citations for the selected site

  • The dotted grey line is the average number of citations for the top 10 competitors

Hover over a data point on either line to see the number of citations for a specific date:

The top-cited directories chart shows which directories of the site are being cited most, and which groups of queries make up those citations.

Hover over the sections of the chart to see the number of citations for each group of queries:

Table

The table lists the citations as clickable URLs, to visit and review the pages, along with:

  • Queries

    • Number of queries that triggered the citation

    • Movement over time from the start date to the end date

  • Brands mentioned

    • Number of brands mentioned in the citation

    • Movement over time from the start date to the end date

Hover over the number of queries or brand mentions, respectively, to reveal the query/queries or brand mentions:
