Adding Market Intelligence (MI) components can be a powerful way to share MI insight. It’s also a great way to combine MI with other Pi reporting components.

Add Market Intelligence components to a custom report

MI components can be added to any report with a weekly or monthly reporting period. These can be found in a section at the bottom of the report components list in the report setup wizard:

From here, the components can be arranged in the report like any other component.

Create a report from a Market Intelligence

In the MI of your choice, click the 'Create Report' button at the top of all Market Intelligence views:

This button will automatically set the report dates and add the MI components. From here you can also add other report components:

Click, 'Next'.

It will even suggest a name for your report. Here, you can add a description and share the report with fellow users. Three clicks is all it takes - click 'Finish':

You will now see the report in the Reports area of your account, with options to edit, duplicate or delete the report:

Report configuration

If you wish to edit the report, click 'Edit' to re-configure the report:

In most circumstances, you’ll likely be reporting on an MI view that auto-refreshes, (one that updates every week or month).

For this reason, you want to select yes for a recurring report to match your MI.

Select either weekly or monthly, depending on what your MI frequency is.

We recommend selecting ‘Fixed start date’ for MI components. This matches how MI is configured, so this will give you the best results.

Selecting a fixed start date can be anything if the MI contains data for the selection.

Finally, we recommend comparing it to the previous year.
